Centennial High School is a public high school in Bakersfield. The Kern High School District celebrated its 100th anniversary with the school’s opening in 1993. Numerous globally renowned extracurricular academic programs are housed at Centennial, including Virtual Business and We The People, both of which have received top five national rankings in the institution’s history. Centennial was named a California Distinguished School in 2011 after obtaining the highest Academic Performance Index score in the Kern High School District.
