Highland High School is a public high school in Bakersfield’s northeast. It serves a multi-cultural community of almost 2,000 students from three distinct eastside communities, two of which are distinct “island” settlements outside the immediate school neighborhood. The curriculum at the school includes technology-based learning. Agriculture, computer applications, and CAD/drafting are some career-technical education courses that are available at the institution. Highland High School is also well-known for its music program.
